21 The Visions America organization is now accepting staff
positions for its summer camp program as well as accepting applications for
youth aged 6 to 14 years. The 10-week

27 It’s Blackwater Paddle and Pedal Adventure Kayaking Adventures time
for ages 6 to adult. Explore the rivers
of Dorchester County and learn flat water kayaking and local wildlife and

The Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art, Salisbury University,
will be offering free admission with a donation of school supplies. These donations will be given to Wicomico
County Title One schools for the benefit of area school children.

offered to any child living in the Easton school district. If your child is going to be 4 years old by

Dorchester Center for the Arts, 321 High Street in Cambridge has launched “The
Art 520” campaign to raise funds for the organization to help offset state
budget cuts. The Center asks 500 people
to donate just $20. The fundraising
goal for the project is $10,000.

Cambridge during its first annual YMCA Back to School Clothing Swap. You’ll receive a ticket for each bag of
clothing you bring. Then on Friday
August 7th, YMCA members will have a chance to select their
clothing, one ticket per bag.
Children’s clothing only, sized infant to 16. On Saturday, the community may select their clothing at $5 per
bag.

friends, professionals and parents of deaf and hard of hearing children are
invited to a discussion meeting from 7 to 8:30 pm at 806 Snow Hill Road in
Salisbury. The meeting is sponsored by
Deaf Independent Living Association.
The meeting will allow networking between other parents by sharing ideas
and find alternative solutions for issues related to hearing loss in children
and youth.

free family fun day is planned at the Tuckahoe Steam & Gas Association
grounds on Rt 313 from 9:30 am to 8 pm for Wade Sharp’s family in order to
raise money for Wade”s hospital expenses.
Wade was seriously injured in a farm trucking accident on July 11th
and is in the Univ of Maryland Shock Trauma unit for a indefinite period of
time. 100% of the funds collected will
be donated to Wade’s benefit fund at Easton Bank and Trust.

Maryland Dept. of Natural Resources will hold a public meeting at 7 pm at
Chesapeake College in Wye Mills to discuss the proposed late waterfowl seasons
and bag limits which will be announced in early August. The public can comment on those proposals at
the meeting.

Maryland Capital Enterprises will host an outreach for small minority and
women-owned businesses from 1 pm to 3:30 pm on the Univ of MD Eastern Shore
