Requirements:
All interns are required to be earning
some form of academic credit to be considered for a position. Resumés can be
sent to: email: shanewalker25@comcast.net Promotion - Interns assist promotion staff in coordinating and copywriting daily on-air contest giveaways. Assist at remote broadcasts and special events held away from the station, take inventory of prize merchandise and match prizes with winners. Perform administrative and clerical tasks as needed, interact with listeners over the phone and at events. Programming - Interns are exposed to what goes on behind the microphone during a radio show. They will help the on-air personality with the scheduling of songs, promos, commercials and contests. They also help answer the request line and conduct mini-demographic interviews with callers. Sales and Marketing - In the Sales Department, interns learn how the radio station generates money. As an intern you will help service our clients by working with invoices, contracts, fulfilling marketing programs, competitive research, maintaining collateral material and various projects as needed.
